Tek Kapılı is oriented north to south, and the building surrounds a long and thin courtyard. The ground floor is built of rubble stones and has vaulted spaces with wide arches. The rooms on the wooden top floor were planned for accommodation so have lower ceilings than the ground floor. The central courtyard was filled with single-story buildings over time. Today, doors on the south and east façades provide access to the building.
