The historic heart of Antalya, Kaleiçi, is not only one of Turkey’s but also one of the world’s significant cultural heritage sites. Understanding the rich history and cultural fabric of this unique region is essential for a deeper comprehension of both Antalya’s past and present. This bibliography has been prepared to comprehensively present academic studies, books, conference and symposium proceedings, articles, and other resources related to the history, architecture, and cultural and social life of Kaleiçi.

In this bibliography, various topics such as the historical development process of Kaleiçi, Ottoman and Republican period histories and structures, archaeological excavations in the region, and restoration and conservation efforts have been addressed. The bibliography is chronologically divided into three sections: Section 1 covers the period from the founding of the city of Attaleia during the Hellenistic period to the end of the Byzantine period; Section 2 spans from the Seljuk period, through the Beyliks period, to the end of the Ottoman period; and Section 3 extends from the establishment of the Republic to the present day. Additionally, different perspectives such as the tourism potential of the region and the cultural life of the local population have also been considered.

The sources included in the bibliography not only provide researchers with rich and in-depth information but also aim to inspire new research.
