The authors propose that the remains of Hacıoğlan called Asaraltı locally be identified as Kerththi based on the site-name-list on the pillar tomb of xeriga/Gergis at Xanthos (inscription nr. TL 44 b 49.55). The fact that the settlements mentioned in the inscription are located about 14-15 km. away from each other further supports this identification. The inscription cites the cities arnna, tuminehi herssi, xakbi, respectively, where revenues were dedicated to the Lycian Aphrodite in the name of Padrita. The terminals of this series were formerly identified certain as Xanthos/Kınık and Kandyba/Gendova and the fact that J. Zahle identified tuminehi as Köybaşı suggests that a citing of cities from west to east. Between Köybaşı and Gendova are only the remains of Asaraltı/Hacıoğlu as an important settlement. Identified remains group into two as Lower and Upper settlements accessed from the west and the east.
