  • The users are required to show the Institution identity card showing that they are from the relevant area (archaeology, art history and history) to the security at the entrance. Researchers from non-relevant field and the institution will not be accepted.
  • The library is serving with an appointment system. Users who come without a reservation can be assisted depending on the availability in the daily quota of the library.
  • Eating and drinking other than water is not allowed.
  • All readers using the Library are obligated not to take any material out of the Library, not to mark or damage any book, periodical, volume or any other material used with the consent of the Library.
  • In case of damaging library materials, the user is obligated to pay the replacement cost.
  • Smoking tobacco or any similar products are not allowed at the Library.
  • Mobile phones have to be switched off before entering the study rooms.
  • The Library cannot be held responsible for any lost personal belongings of the users.
  • Readers need to be quiet at the Library.
  • In case some publications are to be used on the following day, they should be left on the desks with a note stating, “Please do not shelve”.
  • The wi-fi internet may not be used for downloading programs, films and music. In case it is noted that a researcher is using a computer for purposes other than research, his or her membership will be annulled.
  • The computers of the Library should be used only for a catalogue search.
  • No entrance is allowed outside the working hours. At closing time all users need to leave the building. In case of emergency or a fire alarm, users must immediately evacuate the building under the direction of the librarian.
  • No desk or chair may be reserved for personal use.
  • The book scanner is free of charge for use by Library users; however, users must abide by copyright law and are not allowed to scan entire books.
  • Taking photographs at the Library is subject to permission.
  • No photocopy service is available.
  • Library staff has the authority to refuse admittance to anyone not abiding by the rules.
