The Koç University Suna & İnan Kıraç Kaleiçi Museum reflects the spirit of Turkish traditions and Turkish folk culture with its most colourful elements. It was opened to visitors on 18 May 1996 following the restoration of two buildings registered as cultural properties worthy of preservation in Kaleiçi of Old Antalya in 1993-1995 by Suna and İnan Kıraç. Its purpose was to document traditional Turkish popular cultural elements and pass them on to future generations. The Museum is situated in two buildings: a traditional Antalya house and Church of St George.

The first section of the Museum is a two-storey house from nineteenth-century Antalya and presents mise-en-scènes of traditional scenes of Turkish culture. The other building is the Church of St. George (Hagios Georgios / Aya Yorgi), a monumental cultural property of Antalya’s Kaleiçi, and displays examples of Çanakkale ceramics from the Suna & İnan Kıraç Collection.
