Fish, Fishing, and Stories about Fish from Antiquity – Online Exhibition Opening

As AKMED, we will be opening our new exhibition at Suna & İnan Kıraç Kaleiçi Museum on Tuesday, December 1st at 19:30.

The exhibition titled “Fish, Fishing, and Stories about Fish from Antiquity” aims to take its visitors on a historical journey in the deep seas. Curated by AKMED Director Prof. Dr. Oğuz Tekin, visitors will meet the fishes from Antiquity, as well as sea creatures like mussels, snails and read their stories. Also they will find answers to many questions regarding their hunting and consumption as food.

Due to ongoing pandemic, the exhibition will be open to visitors virtually. Thus the opening ceremony will also be held online. We will be pleased to see you at the opening ceremony, which will be held on Zoom.
