Since 1996, AKMED has been actively involved in various fields such as archaeology, history, art history, ancient languages, and architectural history in the historic Kaleiçi district of Antalya. With the exclusive privilege of AKMED TOUR, it brings together archaeology enthusiasts with ancient cities, ruins, and museums in the Mediterranean Region. Participants will have the opportunity to join tours guided by expert scientists. Space is limited, so do not delay in applying!

As AKMED GEZİ, this time we are going to the ancient city of Limyra. Have you seen Limyra before? Have you listened to Limyra from the excavation director? No? Then join us to listen to the latest information about the archaeological excavations conducted by the Austrian Archaeological Institute in the ancient city of Limyra from the excavation director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Martin Seyer, in Turkish, on-site, see new excavation areas, and learn about current research results!

Application and Payment Deadline: Thursday, August 8, 2024

Application Date: Payment is a prerequisite for registration for the tour. Payment must be made by the end of working hours on Thursday, August 8. Payments made after the quota is filled or after the application deadline will not be accepted. Those accepted for the tour will be notified by email (or phone) by the end of working hours on Friday, August 9, 2024.

Participation Fee: The participation fee for the tour is very reasonable and has not been increased. The fee is only 1000 TL per person, the same as our previous tour. The tour fee will be paid through the link below. The participant’s registration for the tour will be completed upon payment. We recommend that participants have a Museum Card. Personal expenses such as entrance fees to ancient cities and food and beverage costs are the responsibility of the participant. In case of cancellation of the program by AKMED due to force majeure, the fees paid will be refunded to the owners. No refund will be made if the participant does not attend or leaves the tour early.

Important Note: It is recommended to wear suitable clothing during the tour. It may be helpful to bring a hat, a small umbrella, and a spare t-shirt. Additionally, it is requested not to bring children under the age of 15 to the tour.

Quota: Limited number of participants.

Meeting Point: The meeting will be held at the AKMED garden in Kaleiçi on August 10, 2024, at 07:45, and departure for Limyra will be at 08:00.
