The Koç University AKMED will sponsor a full-time post-doctoral researcher for 6 or 9 months beginning from the April 1, 2019. Candidates are required to submit a project in the field of history, archaeology, art history, cultural heritage and any other related disciplines focusing on the geography of Anatolia, Eastern Thrace or Cyprus. In addition to the monthly stipend, the researcher will be provided with support for meals and furnished studio (except for those residing in Antalya) at a location close to AKMED. Furthermore, the researcher is expected to contribute to the activities of AKMED. Candidates should have obtained a Ph.D. degree in the above-mentioned fields during the last five years and not more than 45 years old. It is the responsibility of the candidates working in any institution to obtain permission from their institutions. Candidates who satisfy the above conditions must apply directly to AKMED by February 29, 2020.

– A letter of application, including contact information and the duration of the fellowship requested (6 or 9 months)
– Curriculum vitae, including lists of publications and projects in which the candidate has taken part
– A proposal (maximum 1,000 words) stating the aim, method and work plan as well as a bibliography related to the project
– Two letters of reference
– Application documents must be sent electronically to by February 29, 2020. Applications sent later than this date will not be taken into consideration.
