SUNA & İNAN KIRAÇ AKMED POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP (Short Term)

 

The Koç University Research Center for Mediterranean Civilizations (AKMED) will sponsor a full-time post-doctoral researcher for 6 months in the field of history, archaeology, art history, prehistoric languages, architecture history, cultural heritage and any other related discipline.  The geographical focus of the research projects are Anatolia, Turkish Thracian or Cyprus. The post is full time, and will begin on September 2, 2019 and continue for 6 months thereafter. The appointee will reside in Antalya and receive a monthly stipend, as well as a meal card; if the appointee is from outside Antalya, he or she will also receive monthly accommodation assistance, and transportation support to/from Antalya. Candidates who have completed a doctorate in history, archaeology, art history, prehistoric languages, architecture history, cultural heritage and any other related discipline should have received their degree no earlier than 5 years prior to the date of appointment, and candidates should be no older than 45 years of age. Candidates who satisfy the above conditions must apply directly to AKMED by June 30, 2019.

– Curriculum vitae, including lists of publications and projects in which the candidate has taken part

– A research plan (maximum 1,000 words) detailing the candidate’s views, methods, and planning in regards to the research and work expected
